Volunteer Opportunities
Besides monetary contributions, the Friends always welcome who any volunteers willing to give their time. We need volunteers to prepare for and run the book sale, as well as organize and staff new events and programs.

You will be added to a list and will receive an email when a volunteer opportunity arises with pertinent details.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
* We can use your help at our Book Donation Days! Check the events tab for dates and times. No need to contact us - just show up!
* We are currently looking for some handy volunteers to build Little Libraries to be placed in the community. We will provide all necessary supplies, you provide the tools and labor. You'll be proud to complete this fun weekend project that will support community literacy!

Want to Become a Friend?
Becoming a Friend allows you to have first dibs on the biannual book sale, emailed and mailed updates about upcoming events, voting and planning privileges at Friends meetings on the second Tuesday of the month at 11 am in the upstairs auditorium. But first and foremost, you will be supporting your local library, which is one of our communities most valuable resources.
1. Choose your level of friend dedication*:
Friend $10
Good Friend $25
Best Friend $50
Soulmate $100
Lifetime Member $250
Good Friend $25
Best Friend $50
Soulmate $100
Lifetime Member $250
All of these are annual renewal except for the lifetime membership.

Once we receive your information and dues, we will send you a membership card via the mail and your name will be added to our mailing list.

*Your membership and any donations are fully deductible for tax purposes. We are a 501(c)(3) Public Charity and in compliance with the tax code of the Internal Revenue Service, we confirm that you received no goods or services of monetary value from the Friends of the Plattsburgh Public Library or from the Plattsburgh Public Library in connection with your membership or donation.
